PlayNewtDwarves: Reluctant Rescuers is a free comic fantasy platformer released on itch.io on October 25, 2026. The Demon King has kidnapped Princess Elina, and the king sends two unlikely heroes: Brock, a skinny warrior with a sword several sizes too big, and Eyrik, a portly mage with an enchanted battle umbrella. Cross 24 locations, each level ending in a boss.

  • Two classes: close-range sword combat (Brock) or elemental umbrella magic (Eyrik).
  • Three-hit combos, special attacks and unlockable combat skills.
  • 24 fantasy locations, from enchanted forests and frozen mountains to neon cities, heavenly gardens and the forges of hell.
  • 20+ levels, each ending with its own boss.
  • Secret passages above and below the main route; trade runes for better equipment.
