PlayNewtInkwall Idle Defense is a free hand-drawn idle tower defense game released on itch.io on October 26, 2026. Doodle bugs march on your inkwell, which shoots ink blots on its own; your job is to draw walls the bugs must stop and chew through. Ink is limited and refills over time, and waves start automatically, so you can leave it running.

How to play

  • Drag anywhere to draw ink walls. Bugs must chew through every line.
  • Shooting is automatic.
  • Ink refills over time, so place lines where they buy the most time.
  • Between waves, spend coins on Heavy Blots, Quick Nib, Long Splash, Deep Well and Thick Lines.

Enemies

Ants, armoured beetles, wasps that fly over walls, and a giant boss every 5 waves. Wasps ignore walls, so keep upgrades that help the inkwell itself.
