PlayNewtScoot Pals is a free tap-to-scoot logic puzzle released on itch.io on October 26, 2026. Every pebble pal on the lily-pad pond points one way; tap it and it scoots straight off the pond if nothing is in the way. Work out the right order to clear each pond. There are 30 ponds, each checked by a solver, from a 4×4 warm-up to 7×8 ponds with 40+ pals, plus an endless mode.

Rules

  • Tap a pal and it scoots off in the direction it faces, if the way is clear.
  • Each pond gives you 3 hearts. Bonking into another pal costs one.
  • Clear a pond without a bonk for 3 stars.
  • Goals vary: clear every pal, collect berries, or get the crowned Gold pals out.
  • Rocks block the way; Frozen pals thaw when a neighbour scoots off.

Boosters

  • Hint shows a pal that can leave.
  • Spin turns a pal to face a free way.
  • Scoop lifts any pal straight off the pond.

Tips

  • Press and hold a pal to preview its path before you commit.
  • Start with pals at the edge facing outward, then work inward.
  • The game is about 32 KB, so it loads instantly on phones in portrait or landscape.
