PlayNewt9 Fingers is a free bluffing card game released on itch.io on October 26, 2026. Cash sits on the table and every round you lose costs a finger. Play cards face down and claim they are anything; empty your hand before someone calls your bluff. Play solo against the boss or invite a friend online, where you are still playing against each other.

How to play 9 Fingers

  • Play a card face down and claim what it is. A weak card can make a convincing lie.
  • Let an opponent's suspicious play pass, or challenge it. Call a bluff correctly and they pay; get it wrong and you pay.
  • Caught bluffing? Challenge your accuser's earlier play to turn the penalty back on them, at the risk of a harsher one.
  • Spend fingers on bonuses: reveal an opponent's last play, burn an unwanted card, or make a check penalty hurt more.

Modes

Solo: duel the boss, who has his own bonuses and items and can challenge your plays. Online: invite a friend to the table; you both play against each other and the boss.
