What kind of game is Scrapyard Run?
It is a run-based shooter with a story. Under salvage law anything you carry off an abandoned ship is yours, so you start with a rivet gun and pry parts off the robots on the way down. You learn what kind of deck you are on when the lift doors open: a plain cargo hold, an armory full of guns and more.
Who you meet on board
- Biters chase vermin that died years ago.
- Gunners guard doors that open onto nothing.
- The Foreman runs inspections on deck five every morning.
- Repair fabricators started building on their own somewhere around deck fifteen.
- A workshop on the stairwell landings trades in scrap, not credit.
- The Warden, former ship security, guards the hold twenty decks down.
